
AFG vs BAN Series, Kabul, August 24, 2025 β Cricket fans are in for a treat! After the Asia Cup 2025, an exciting T20I and ODI series between Afghanistan and Bangladesh has been announced. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) confirmed that both series will be hosted at home, giving fans more high-voltage cricket action right after the Asia Cup.
Asia Cup 2025: Before the Bilateral Series
The Asia Cup 2025 will kick off in the UAE from September 9 with eight teams participating for the first time instead of six.
- Group A: India, Pakistan, UAE, Oman
- Group B: Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Hong Kong
With more teams this year, the tournament promises more matches and bigger clashes. Afghanistan will begin their Asia Cup campaign on September 9 and continue until the final on September 28.
Afghanistan vs Bangladesh Series Announced
Soon after naming its Asia Cup squad, the Afghanistan Cricket Board revealed that the team will host Bangladesh for two back-to-back series β a T20I series and an ODI series β in October 2025.

T20I Series Schedule (Sharjah Cricket Stadium)

ODI Series Schedule (Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi)
- 1st ODI β Wednesday, October 8

To minimise travel time and ensure player recovery, the T20Is will be played entirely in Sharjah, while the ODIs will be hosted in Abu Dhabi.
T20I Tri-Series Before the Asia Cup
Before the Asia Cup begins, Afghanistan will also participate in a T20I tri-series alongside Pakistan and the UAE from August 29 to September 7.
- Each team will play 4 matches
- The series will serve as final preparation ahead of the Asia Cup
